Last June, when my mom was still in the hospital, somebody gave me a 400pesos love gift for her hospitalization... Four hundred pesos is a tiny amount thinking of hospital expenses. But this amount costs 4 lives! No, they did not offer their lives to save my mom so to speak, but its a sacrificial offering... I was deeply touched and I almost cried because this person who gave the money is a "special person". She told me that the money came from 4 students including her... These students are'nt well-off, in fact, brethrens from KLMI are supporting their studies. They are young, yet determined to serve God. I envy them because in their youthful years, they have offered their lives to His Kingdom. I could say that they are partly my fruits because i felt like they're my siblings whenever i see them. One of them i prayed, counseled and encouraged when she's still in a secular job but she knew she is called to serve God. I am very grateful that for years of praying for her, she decided to attend the Bible School despite finite resources... One of them is very attached to me. I actually interviewed her before she was interviewed in Bible School for the scholarship purpose for LOVE team. I had been there since not just to give her the financial support but to continuously encourage, pray, and share with her God's revelations to me... This, i could say is the soul of generous giving. God revealed to me the widow's offering in Mark 12:41~44 how worthy is a heartfelt offering. 41Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins,[j]worth only a fraction of a penny.[k] 43Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."
Generosity is giving out all that you have got even if you know you have nothing left... This will be forever treasured...
